After the milestone release that brought the PanelAlpha Engine into full operation, we’ve kept our focus on what helps our control panel stay a dependable part of your daily workflow. The new PanelAlpha v1.5.1 builds on that foundation, bringing new technical depth that makes the platform stronger in the parts you don’t always see, but always rely on.
A smarter way to enforce control
WordPress enables countless ways to extend functionality, but not all of them are equally robust. That’s why version 1.5.1 introduces a new must-use plugin – a special type of WordPress component that’s always on, load before everything else, and can’t be disabled from the dashboard. They’re built for essentials, and that’s exactly how we’re using them.
From now on, this must-use plugin takes over two critical responsibilities:
- Single Sign-On (SSO) connections, and
- Blacklist restrictions for plugins and themes.
In practice, this means that blacklisted items appear either as inactive or are hidden entirely from places where users would normally expect to find them: in searches, activation lists, or even through manual uploads.

The same logic applies when selecting a theme during the creation of a new WordPress instance, ensuring a secure and consistent experience across the entire platform. It’s a thoughtful approach that protects users from unnecessary frustration and helps providers maintain complete control in a natural, non-intrusive way.
PanelAlpha Engine v1.0.1
When the PanelAlpha Engine left its beta phase in the last release, it demonstrated that it was 100% ready to face production workloads. Now, with version 1.0.1, it runs even smoother in those real-world hosting scenarios, supported by a number of fresh performance-focused improvements.
Among them is LSCache support for OpenLiteSpeed, bringing faster page delivery and better caching efficiency for sites running on that web server. It’s a practical addition that helps ensure better WordPress performance and reduces the need for manual adjustments on the hosting side.
Already looking ahead
While our CEO shares the story of PanelAlpha at CloudFest USA, we continue to move forward with new developments that expand automation and control for WordPress hosting. More updates are already in the works, and we’re aiming to roll out at least some of them before the end of the year.
And to get a better sense of how much thought and care went into this release, just glance through the changelog. Behind each line is a little piece of the work that keeps PanelAlpha moving forward.
