The more hosting accounts you handle, the more predictable some challenges become. A plan that almost fits, but not quite. A client asking about email deliverability. A minor adjustment that ends up taking more steps than it should. These are the kinds of situations that turn into support tickets before you know it, so they deserve solutions that fit into real workflows.
PanelAlpha v1.4.4 combines new features and improvements that respond directly to those realities of WordPress hosting with more flexibility for individual accounts, easier handling of DNS records for email, and a handful of technical updates that help the system stay fast and reliable behind the scenes.
Customizing resources per hosting account
Most hosting plans are built to cover common scenarios, and that usually works. But sooner or later, a client needs something slightly outside the default. Until now, handling that meant switching the whole account to a different plan or duplicating plans just to cover small differences. In version 1.4.4, that sort of workaround is no longer necessary.
The new Update Configuration feature lets you adjust resource settings for a specific hosting account, either directly in PanelAlpha or through WHMCS integration. Instead of building a long list of overlapping plans or forcing clients through a full migration, you can now just adjust what’s needed, when it’s needed, and without disrupting anything else. It’s a much cleaner way to manage exceptions, without building extra complexity into your offer structure.
This flexibility comes in especially handy with dynamic environments like WP Cloud, where clients often end up needing small adjustments to individual parameters like disk quota, number of PHP workers, burst limits, or server location.
Easy DKIM & SPF configuration
Email issues are never fun, especially when they turn out to be caused by something as simple as a missing DNS record. To take the pain out of it plus help keep emails out of spam, we’ve built two new options into the Email Servers section of each hosting plan:
- Automatically configure DKIM and SPF records for supported domains.
When enabled, PanelAlpha will quietly take care of those DNS records for you.
- Show current DKIM and SPF status in the client area.
If you want to add another layer of transparency, you can now let customers view record status at a glance from My Hosting → Email Addresses. If something is missing or misconfigured, they will spot it early, and in many cases, you’ll avoid the ticket entirely.
Improvements that keep the work moving
And since no release is complete without a bit of polish, here are a few extra changes you’ll likely notice:
- Our PanelAlpha Engine has been updated with a set of general performance and reliability improvements as part of the final preparations for moving out of beta.
- Pre-created accounts now follow Super Quick Onboarding with default options only, making them easier to handle without running into problems.
- SSL access logs stored in .gz archives now load more reliably for analysis – because time matters, especially when debugging.
We know that WordPress hosting doesn’t fit into neat boxes, and your clients certainly don’t fit into them either. With version 1.4.4, PanelAlpha moves another step in refining support for everyday use cases: adjusting plans on the fly, protecting email reputations automatically, and keeping admin overload to a minimum.
